FBI warns some lawmakers that China aims to create fake stories about them to erode support for Taiwan

The FBI has provided classified, “defensive” briefings to lawmakers targeted by the Chinese Communist Party with false stories about taking bribes from Taiwan, two U.S. officials told NBC News.
