Saddam Hussein speaks at an "emergency session" of Ba'ath Party leaders, which he convened. He claimed to have discovered a planned coup. Saddam then read out the names of the 68 alleged conspirators, who were taken out of the room. Twenty-one of them were later shot, Iraq, 1979 .
